I usually don't like to write poetry, but I thought what the hell! I used different lyrics from songs to write this poem. I hope you all enjoy it, and let me know what ya think of it.
It shows what happens to people when they end their relationship with someone they love or they thought loved them.
The Broken Hearts
No love, there is no love
I know I have some imperfection, but how could you collect them and then throw them in my face?! Strip[ed] of all my pride, call me what you will, [Im now] free to speak my mind.
Tell me, why are we so blind to see that the ones we hurt are you and me?! I ask myself why, oh why?!
Well, at first I didnt know, but now its clear to me, [that] there is a fine line between love and hate.
Ive held your hands through all of these years, [but] theres just too much that time cannot erase of the mess you left when you went away. Now Im bound by the life you left behind! Now there's just no chance, for you and me, there'll never be!
Seems like just yesterday you had me. [I] just thought you were the one! I sacrificed the things I wanted just to do things for you!
Here I am, once again sick with [all the] shame! My soul feels stained. I needed somewhere to hang my head. With my head in my hands I sit and cry, but you wont get to see the tears I cry!
You and me, we used to be together. You told me you loved me, why did you leave me all alone? Its hard to remember how it felt before [you]. Memories seem like so long ago, but after all the obstacles, time always kills the pain.
You had your chance you blew it! Your chance has come and gone. It's just too little too late. [But] thanks to you now I get what I want, since you been gone! Whyd you have to go and pick me?!
Lord please, please, please, Take away my anxiety!
Im getting tired of starting again somewhere new. Im telling you all when it falls down, I look the other way. Im still try[ing] to find my place.
